After taking out the Overall Body Building Championship for Australia in Perth recently it seems the sky is the limit for the young hopeful who plans to go Pro within two years time. The 30 year old has dedicated his life to a 24/7 fitness and health regime to reach his goal and the media interest is mounting as he draws closer to achieving his dream. Local and national media have snapped up the outgoing, lively and ambitious Gary by placing him on the cover of top selling magazines and newspapers. Well recognised sports supplements brands such as Gaspari and Total Health and Performance Supplements have also been quick to sign him up to endorse and promote their products. Experts predict that Gary Wright will be the first ever body builder to make it in the Pro arena out of North Queensland. While body building isn’t as popular a sport as basketball, football etc, kids seem to look up to people like Gary who are at the peak of their profession as there is the WOW factor to what they do. Gary grew up in Seisia in the Torres Strait Islands in the northern most tip of Australia and he has a real passion to help young people in indigenous communities be motivated to achieve their dreams, be healthy and keep fit. His biggest aim is to build a fully equipped gym with the help of a Government grant in Bamaga so he can run fitness and health clinics for young people. Gary has already proven that he has what it takes to achieve his target with his 24/7 commitment leading to him taking out the top title in the country with only 12 months preparation, having never competed before..
